Ford's success continues and the 1966 Mustang reveals few changes, except for styling refinements in all three models. All interior trim-levels now offer 5-dial instrumentation plus a glovebox-mounted emergency flasher. Adding some impetus to its record-smashing sales, 1966 Mustang options were expanded with the addition of niceties such as AM/FM Radio, Stereophonic Tape System, Seat Belt Warning Lamp and even a new Cruise-O-Matic transmission mated to the hot 289HP engine.
