But you need the correct C6 or FMX also . . one set up for a floorshift. If not you need to do some mods first.

Is it possible to modify shift pattern on the trans or must one rely on conversion linkage?

It a difference of 180 degrees. One sticks up, one sticks down. You must change the shift ear in the trans.
